Sam joined Biddeford Adult Ed 8 years ago. My name is Sam Smithwick, and I am English Language and Adult Basic Education Coordinator for Biddeford Adult Education. I am from Mississippi, received Bachelor’s Degrees in English and History from Auburn University, and my Masters in Education from University of Southern Maine. I also teach English and Social Studies for our high school diploma students. I have a true passion for working with our “New Mainers” as they improve their English and learn what they need to know to make Biddeford their new home. A board member of the Heart of Biddeford, I am very proud of the way that all of our local organizations work together to make Biddeford a welcoming and supportive city for our students and their families.
