Stephanie has had a variety of interesting and fulfilling careers during her time in Maine: social work, professional acting, and 8 years in education, most recently as a middle school math teacher. She believes this path led her to Biddeford Adult Education for good reason: all the skills she’s acquired along the way seem applicable and helpful in her position of student advisor. Steph is very excited to be on a team with such amazing staff, all working toward the same goal of helping adults improve their lives and livelihood. Students here are very motivated, serious about their education, and appreciative. Our students don’t take education for granted and that’s so refreshing! She receives inspiration from them daily.
Outside of BAE, Steph likes to play guitar and write songs. She began songwriting in 2017 and has produced two albums so far. She loves to run as well (and sometimes is songwriting while running). In her free time, you may find her out running a local 5k or trying out one of her new original songs at a local open mic. Or maybe you’ll even spot her in a tv show, movie, or in a show at Biddeford City Theater! Steph lives in Hollis with her youngest daughter, now in high school. Her oldest daughter is an EMT in Oregon, and her son just graduated from University of Maine Orono with a degree in mechanical engineering.
