Finding Courses
You may use the “Search courses” button located on the bottom of our Home page or on the bottom of the Courses page. This will search our list of courses. If you would like to search other adult educations, click on “Maine Adult Education Association” at the top right of our Home page. There you will be able to search by course or by program across the state.
New Course Idea
What do I do? Who do I tell?
We are always open to suggestions for new courses. If you would like to propose a new non-academic course and maybe even be an instructor for that course, download the form HERE and return it to Anne Beaulieu.
If you are interested in teaching an academic course, please contact Dave Durkee at 282-3883 or ddurkee@biddefordschools.me.
Programs and Locations
To find your local program, please visit: http://www.maineadulted.org/ and use the “Find Programs” button located near the top of the homepage. By entering your town and radius in miles, you can quickly and easily locate the adult education programs closest to you.
First locate your program using the “Find Programs” tab located near the top of the homepage at http://www.maineadulted.org. You can search for the adult education you are looking for. You will then have to enter the address in a Google map.
Registering for Courses
You can download the CNA application HERE. Please contact Anne at 282-3883 or at abeaulieu@biddefordschools.me to register for your CASAS Test or for more information.
CNA-Med registration is handled differently than CNA. Please contact Sue at 282-3883 or sdecesare@biddefordschools.me for more information.
Register online
You can register for most of our courses on-line with Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express.
Register by mail
If you register by mail, you may pay by personal check, money order, or by providing your credit card info on the necessary registration form.
Register by phone
If you register by phone, we can accept a credit card, check or cash. If you register by phone but pay by check or cash, you will need to drop off your check or cash to our office as soon as possible. Payment will guarantee your spot in the class.
Register in person
If you register in person, you may pay by personal check, credit card, money order, or cash.
If you have mailed in your registration for a class which was already full, you will be contacted and given the option to be placed on the waiting list for that class.
If you register in person, you’ll know immediately the status of the class.
If you search for courses online, you will know because the web page will say “Course full” and give you the option of subscribing to the waiting list.
If you are on a waiting list, you will be contacted if a space becomes available. Please do not go to the class unless you have been called. The teacher will have to send you to our office in order to check your wait list status if you just show up for class. All waiting lists are handled on a “first come – first serve” basis and each class is filled in the order people were placed on the waiting list.
